Germany’s 2030 rail optimisation plan could take 50 years to complete

A masterplan intended to optimise the whole of Germany’s rail network which was due to be completed in 2030 may take 50 years to be delivered, according to the nation’s federal commissioner for rail transport Michael Theurer.
