‘Record breaking’ TBM sought for Lower Thames Crossing tunnel

Procurement has started for a 16.4m wide tunnel boring machine (TBM) for National Highways’ Lower Thames Crossing, after the government committed £891M to the scheme in the Autumn Budget.
